Treasure Island to Key West

Hi everyone,

We will be coming to Treasure Island for three weeks in November. As a side trip we would like to go to Key West (the old part of town) for 3/4 days. Does anyone know if any buses or tours that go from Treasure Island/St. Pete%26#39;s to Key West, or whom I could contact regarding this.

The answer is no. You can catch a flight out of St. Pete Clearwater Airport or drive down to Ft. Myers and catch the ferry. Key West is a good 8 hour drive from Treasure Island.

We have flown Key West to Tampa a couple of times. Flight takes just about an hour and is a really great ride. Each time it has been in a small 21 seater Jetstream plane. We loved the experience.

If you%26#39;re looking for accommodation in Key West you might want to try Rose Lane Villas. We have stayed in several different places in Key West and never been disappointed in any but Rose Lane villas has been the best in terms of what it offers for the money. There are just 6 apartments there so it%26#39;s like having a private pool, and it%26#39;s just off of Duval, behind the Hard Rock Cafe. Very close to everything but quiet and secluded at the same time. We found it a great place to stay.

there is a ferry service from fort myers to key west. Greyhound bus service from St. Petersburg to Fort Myers is about 3 1/2 hours. I have never taken it the ferry so I do not know if the trip is worth the extra time (compared to flying) you spend getting there. Let me know if you need more info.
