Help with time scale please

We want to book chef mickey for our daughters birthday which is on the day we arrive. We have been advised to make a reservation but not sure how long everything will take with regards to airport clearence etc. We land at 15.40 at sanford airport and will be collecting our car from the airport. I know there can be unexpected holdups but what are peoples average time experiences of the following:

Clearing customs and collecting car.

Driving from sanford to our hotel, liki tiki off of route 192 Kissimee.

Or is this an impossible question and i should think twice about making a reservation just in case!

I wouldn%26#39;t put that stress on yourselves on the day you arrive and simply make the reservation for another day on your holiday. Even though I know it is your daughters birthday that day your family will be completely exhausted by the time to get to Mickey and won%26#39;t be able to enjoy. Do make advance reservations though!

I don%26#39;t think there is a charge to make reservations at Chef Mickey%26#39;s nor charges to cancel - maybe reserve for both days?

healin is right, you%26#39;ll want to book it after arrival date. firstly b/c you%26#39;ll be exhausted and second b/c just in case something unusual occurs with customs or getting your car and finding the hotel etc.. you won%26#39;t have a chance to re-book again after arriving.

from my experience, I never book anything for arrival day...

we never know....

why don麓t you book for breakfast next day?

Thanks ro replys and the wake up call i needed, my partner is always telling me i put myself under uneccessary pressure. I have not done a flight of this length with a child before so don%26#39;t appreciate how tired we will be. Booking for breakfast is a good idea.
