Sunset Beach Hotel

Any info on Sunset Beach Hotel??? Will be staying there next week...also have reservations for Captiva Cruises afternoon Dolphin watch...is this a good choice?

If you are looking for beach and pool and a base camp for checking out the island, Sunset Beach is fine.

The only people who might be disappointed are those that are expecting a fancy Hotel-Resort experience; it is more like what AAA would call a ';Moter-Hotel'; meaning motel style accommodations with a few upgrades like a nice setting, pool and grounds.

Otherwise, Sanibel has so much to offer that I am sure you will be happy

We enjoyed our Captiva Cruise dolphin tour when we went so I think its a good choice.

Thanks! We aren%26#39;t expecting anything fancy...just a basic spot to stay and enjoy the island...will be first trip there...CANNOT WAIT! Have always heard WONDERFUL things about Sanibel and am finally getting to visit.

Sunset Beach has a nice location on quiet West Gulf Drive well removed from the main condo areas. It was fully remodeled after Charley hit in 2004 so the interiors should be in good shape. Board members who have stayed there have been satisfied with their choice. The other place like and well known for repeat guests and nice staff is West Wind Inn. The style of Sunset Beach is as Mysanibelcondo described.
