Is there surfing on the Gulf or in Tampa Bay?

I have never seen anyone surf on the west coast of Florida. You have to go to the east coast for any decent waves.

The only time I have actually brought the board out, or body surfed on the Gulf was during large storms coming in from the Gulf(Tropical Storms, Cold Fronts, etc.)

Otherwise, it%26#39;s the east coast(Cocoa Beach, Sebastian Inlet)
