weather in orlando in dec/jan shorts or long??????????

hi i know this sounds crazy,but it is our first visit so am a bit unsure what the weather may be like in dec/jan in orlando and do we go for shorts or long trousers(surely it cant be as cold as sunny!!!!! scotland)as we intend to do some of the parks/universal etc thanxs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

the temp in Orlando at this present time is 71 degrees, and its sunny..but it will be chilly in the evening..it will be a bit cooler, and known to freeze so go with a bit of both...but with the $ to the 拢 its very to cheap to buy there....

many thanxs for that advice,i have checked out the local weather, but if its any thing like the uk weather sites,they never seem to get it right espically in scotland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hofk, one thing to remember is that you may get wet on one or two rides. Even if it%26#39;s sunny and warm outside, once the sun starts to head towards sunset, it can cool off quickly, especially in the shade. So try to ride the %26#39;wet%26#39; rides earlier in the day, gives you time to dry out before you start feeling chilly!

I was in the other Disney last December---Anaheim---and got totally soaked in California Advenutre on the rapids ride (which was great fun). It was 15:30 and the air started making me a little cold.

Bring both -- it%26#39;s not uncommon at this time of year to wear jeans and a fleece in the morning, and be down to shorts and a teeshirt by midafternoon, only to be reaching for the fleece as soon as the sun goes down!

We were there in 2000 and I%26#39;m not kidding - it felt colder than it did here during the evening. The weather was very unusual and bringing down the northern weather - it was like that for about 10 days. Therefore stay flexible with the clothing.

I have just returned from 10 days in Orlando, got into Gatwick on Tuesday morning.

We had the most wonderful weather for the entire 10 days, low 80%26#39;s during the day and low 70%26#39;s in the evening. We wore shorts every day and did not even have to wear a warm top in the evenings.

The weather was just about to blip for a few days, but it is expected to recover by this weekend. The cold front was caused by snow in the mid west pushing cold air into Florida but was forecast to move out by tonight.

The great thing about Florida weather is the brilliant blue sky and general feeling of happiness the sun brings!

Have a great time and try to have a meal at the Cheesecake Factory at Milllenia Mall. Sitting outside, eating on the patio was lovely, lots of people and fancy car watching. A highlight of our holiday!

Staring out the window, all I see is white......snow that is. (Ohio). My husband and I will be in WDW for a week come next Wednesday, and I too had the same question....what to pack. I have read this whole posting and oh..thanks for the advice...pack both warm and %26#39;cool%26#39; clothes. I will pack just that. (as I sit here shivering ;-) ).

We are still here and have a few days to go. We were at Universal today the temp was 78degrees and sunny. Very warm/hot during the day and a little cool in the evening. Tee shirt and shorts during the day and for the wife a cardigan at night.
