I%26#39;m posting a link to a site that has menus for most of these and many more restaurants- all in that general area- although some are more in ';Downtown'; not on Las Olas. At any rate, you%26#39;ll be able to see from studying the menus that Grill Room is VERY pricey, Mangos likely the least pricey and the others inbetween. I%26#39;d say that Big City Tavern is better as a bar than a restaurant- I don%26#39;t care for the food.

I%26#39;m going to say that almost everywhere in town and especially on Las Olas will have special ';package '; prices , but they will genrally follow the ratio of the normal menus as far as how expensive they will be.

You didn%26#39;t mention your age, but if you are twentysomethings or early thirtysomethings , check out two menus on that list for Himmarshee and for Tarpon Bend. Those are for an area just west of Las Olas which actually could be a better spot for dining /bar hopping if you are younger. There traditionally is a Street Dance not far from there ( too early for any publicity if they will have it) which includes bands and a ball drop at midnight. Whatever you do, be sure you have reserved ahead. It%26#39;s usually a madhouse around that area and the possibilty of walking in without reservatons anywhere would be slim to none.

Thank you so much for your suggestions. I am in my late 20%26#39;s so I think this is something I am going to look into further. I am not looking to go to a bar where I can%26#39;t move.

Thanks again,.

It%26#39;s officially called the Downtown Countdown and there is a bit of info( as well as a photo of a past year ) here:

fortlauderdale.gov/events/countdown/index.htm

It starts in the sfternoon and it very family oriented with face painting and bounce houses and later in the evening the bands start up and it is pretty lively till 3 am. I suppose if you are from NJ, just being able to party outside will be fun- in some years we see the new year in iwearing shorts and in others sweatsuits- the weather is very unpredictable- but usually rain is not a problem at that time of year.

Tarpon Bend and several other restaurants are in that area and the area is pretty lively even when it%26#39;s not New Years.
