Supermarket near Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay

We are staying for a few days at the Miami Marriott Biscayne Bay pre cuise (mid December) and as we are from the UK we are hoping to stock up on a few US branded groceries we can%26#39;t get at home.

Is there anywhere in walking distance of this hotel that has a decent range of groceries eg. Walmart, Walgreens etc.

Also, is there anything else of interest (walking distance) to this hotel?

There is a Publix Suprermarket which is our big grocery store. You need to catch the metromover south to the Brickell Station stop. Get off and walk a block south to Coral Way (13th Street) and make a right and you should see a Publix across the street.

There is a drug store Walgreens in downtown Miami 1 SE 3rd Ave.

There is no Walmart near downtown Miami, sorry. There is a Target Store about 20 blocks north of your hotel, I wouldn%26#39;t walk in this area, so catch a bus or a cab if you want to go to Target.

There is a gourmet market called Gardners on Brickell Key.

Bayside Market Place located in downtown is pretty much the only thing to see in downtown Miami. I would really suggest catching a cab over to South beach its only a 10 minute max cab ride from your hotel, but there are many more things to do and see than in downtown Miami.

We will be spending a day over at South Beach/Lincoln Rd area, so are there any supermarkets over that way we could stop off at, maybe in a cab on the way back, or even stumle across whilst we are out %26#39;sightseeing%26#39;?

Hi, here is a link to a Whole Foods store in South Beach. I remember seeing one while we were there a few years ago closer to Lincoln Rd, so maybe they%26#39;ve moved since then. I don%26#39;t think they sell US branded foods, but they are very cool stores. I was just in one in Ft. Lauderdale the day before our cruise %26amp; just loved it!

I know what you mean tho about stocking up on US foods. My family lived in Belgium when I was growing up, and we would bring suitcases full of stuff home when we came on home leave. But I also loved shopping in the UK, we would go to Marks %26amp; Spencers all the time!! Are those stores still around?
