What to do while visiting in Boca Raton?

I%26#39;ll be visiting family in Boca during February break with my kids and would love to find some fun activities either in or near the area. Any ideas where I could do a fishing expedition, or a really good Everglades tour, or other activities that would make it memorable for kids ages 8 and 1 (boy and girl). I%26#39;m wondering about some sort of half day fishing trip? Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks

There is a very nice intracoastal boat cruise in Delray Beach and Ft. Lauderdale. No fishing, but the boat ride will be fun. Down in Sunrise is Wannado City. Perfect for children in this age group. I hear Sugar Sands Park is great for kids. There is an airboat ride in the Everglades by the Hillsborough Canal. That is certainly a great time. Quiet Waters Park in Deerfield offers activities for kids.

Boomer%26#39;s in Boca has a lot of fun stuff for your child:

There is an everglades tour in West Boca Raton. It is called the Loxahatchee Everglades tour and while it isn%26#39;t as pretty as the southern part of the evereglades it is fun. The website is http://www.evergladesairboattours.com/ I went there with my parents and we had a good time. Be prepared to get slapped in the face with mud.

Red Reef Park is also a good beach to go to. There is snorkeling right off the shore.

Gumbo Limbo is also (http://www.gumbolimbo.org/) a great place for kids. Lots of open tanks with sharks, sea turtles and a great nature walk with a tower to climb up. Plus it is free, donations are welcomed.

I%26#39;d take an airboat ride in the Everglades. Go to Sawgrass Recreation Area. We%26#39;ve done it 3 times with vistors. It is a riot!
