virgin seat plan??

Hi - been on virgin sight and it says the flight we are thinking of booking is a 747-400 it says once booked you can request your seats however there are 4 different layouts for this type of plane how would i know which one to request the seat numbers on??

virgin seat plan??

Hi belekvisior.

If you have your booking ref number ie:something like fr6hk6 then go to manage your flight, click on in bound or out bound flight . you can put the kids (if taking any to the back of the plane ) then the correct seat plan will come up.

If you haven%26#39;t got your ref no phone virgin customer services , tell them you need your booking ref.

Good luck.

virgin seat plan??

that great thanks, however we havent booked yet...... im just working out dates etc etc.... cant decide between first choice and virgin - used 1st choice last year and was great - been reading lots of bad reports about virgin so undecided - main hurdle is we wanted to go for 18 nights so would really need to be virgin - thought that looking at the seating plan might help but unsure which plan to look at....

just been with virgin, it doesnt matter the layout, unless you are booking upper class

the layout is pretty much the same, and even if you prebook they may still move you anyway

When we booked our Virgin flights for April next year, we were automatically allocated seats for both directions. There is an option to change but selection of available seats limited. Could this be because Virgin block out an allocation for Virgin Holidays?

Has anyone used Virgins on-line check-in? What are the advantages?

Rod,

They block out a bunch of seats to allocate on the day. That%26#39;s why their limited on the website. I%26#39;m lucky in that all the seats I%26#39;ve booked on-line has never been changed once I get to check-in. The only exeception was recently when they switched us to the later plane so therefore changed our seats. But as there were other seats available I soon placed as all together again.

I%26#39;d also recommend on-line check-in. It cuts the checking in time at the desk. If you can print your boarding passes at home as well, even better. Your luggage is taken, the boarding gate number is written on your print-out and hey presto, you%26#39;re good to go.

Thanks BigBird

I hear all the time about people getting an upgrade at Check-in. I have to admit I%26#39;ve never tried it because there are usually at least 5 of us. This time there will only be two but I guess I wouldn%26#39;t have the chance to ask if I use the on-line service?

the flights to Orlando are on the same aircraft type which is

14 Upper 58 Premium and 379 / 380 economy

Rows6-12 are upper class

70-80 Premium upper deck (2-2)

81-82 premium lower deck (2-4-2)

21-65 economy

all ecomomy seats are in a 3-4-3 config til the last 4 rows which are 2-4-2

Hope this helps

Have a look at seatguru.com/airlines/鈥nformation.php

Great help. It%26#39;s never been wrong for me.

A few tips, don%26#39;t sit at the back of the row, the seats don%26#39;t recline much, don%26#39;t sit near the toilet unless you like people leaning on your seat (very annoying). Best seat we had were in row 22. Don%26#39;t know why but there was more space, but I guess it depends what version it is.

in my experience if you ask you don%26#39;t get.

I%26#39;ve used Virgin about 30 times and had 1 free upgrade for our party of 4 returning from MCO.

I guess its luck but its unlikely that large parties or families get them.
