Magic Kingdom / Which Hotel

Planning a trip to Magic Kingdom Oct 2008 and trying to pick a hotel. 2 Adults + 2 kids (ages 5 %26amp; 3). Was leaning toward Animal Kingdom, but it%26#39;s really expensive and we%26#39;re already doing a 4 day cruise ($2800). Still need to add in room for air, food, tfers...

Why is this adding up to be like $6000-$7000?!?!?!

Outrageous!

If you%26#39;re doing the Disney Cruise the transfers should be included. Disney should also have a ';Package Deal'; for Land and Sea, giving you options for the Resorts.

As far as Resorts go, The Animal Kingdom Lodge is quite nice but can be expensive. The Moderate Resorts are all good ( at that time of year should run in the less then $200 per night range ) and the Value Resorts will give you a comfy place to rest your heads ( $100 or so per night )

If you haven%26#39;t already, have a look at wdwinfo.com and allearsnet.com for up to date Resort info and pricing. $6000-$7000 sounds like alot I agree

You can also try dreamsunlimitedtravel.com and fill out a Free Request a Quote form to get an idea of options available for that time of year. Keep in mind that any Special Offers for Disney Packages won%26#39;t become available til later next year. Dreams will keep looking for you tho and can modify your reservation at anytime up until 45 days prior to your check-in day. They deal directly with Disney for you and are very reliable. I have used them many times.

we estimate/budget a thousand dollars per person, when traveling to disney florida....that includes airfare....and reasonable expenses....souvenir budget is extra. As the other poster mentioned, if it%26#39;s the disney cruise, you should be able to get something all inclusive. If not, I%26#39;d say, go off property for your hotel, pick the closest thing outside the gates....they%26#39;re all great hotels....and have shuttle service to inside the park.

I have stayed at The Beach Club a few times. You can walk right into Epcot here. It is nice at night to watch the fireworks and then walk aroung the Boardwalk. The pool here has sand at the bottom and you can also walk over to MGM. This is a great hotel. The others at this location at The Yatch, Dolphin and Swan. There is also The Boardwalk Hotel. Stayed here once but was not too impressed.

The Floridian is one to check out if you have the time. The lobby is beautiful.
