Complaints to Thomas Cook Airlines- Hope anyone fairs better

After writing my complaint to Thomas Cook on 20th Sept re an over payment by 拢357 I thought the case was so straight forward it would be resolved in a matter of weeks. What a naive fool I was!!!

As at today their 28day complaint resolution time has been completely ignored %26amp; even after we rang Florida to the Alamo office to speed things up (who confirmed they had infact lost our pre-paid Thomas Cook hirecar voucher %26amp; that%26#39;s why they also debited us) Thomas Cook seem incapable in refunding us and then sorting out their admin with Alamo!!!

Infact Thomas Cook are still ';looking into it';

We have contacted ABTA who have asked us to send all paperwork %26amp; they will arbitrate on our behalf.

What a joke hey!

According to our booking agents Thomas Cook are almost impossible to get hold of on the phone in their customer relation department %26amp; switch their phones off most of the time as they are massively behind in sorting out customer queries %26amp; complaints %26amp; therefore cannot cope.

I really hope none of you guys who have booked with them have any issues on your return as I expect your experience will be similar.

Also when stuff goes wrong out on holiday they have clearly trained all their staff to duck the issues %26amp; the rep thought resolving them was saying ';oh well don%26#39;t let it spoil the rest of your holiday!'; How insulting %26amp; unhelpful is that!

The letter we received about all our other problems on the holiday where completely ignored (those who read my day to day posts will know what i am talking about!)The letter was a standard fob off letter.

This is the sort of preotection people think they have got by booking with a tour company or travel agent. They either go missing and not return your messages or they treat you in a dismissive way. laura don%26#39;t give in - fight the charlatans.

keep fighting the good fight- then book elsewhere in future. the Thomas Cooks of this world are a dying breed. I used to feel sorry about this, but complaints like your and others mean it%26#39;s best to just book directly.

In anycase, involve your CCard company, have them delet either the Alamo or the Thomas Cook charge as a dispute. Usually, having their money withdrawn will speed them up.


Laura go to there head office and face them belive me it works wonders they hate a scene.
