Getting to the parks ,what time ?

What time should one get to the park if you are staying on site and you have hopper passes already ? Should we go when ever we get up or plan on going earlier ? What about the first day , do we have to give fingerprints , will that take longer ?

It depends on what time of year you go, and how much you hate standing in line.

If you hate standing in line like me, go early. by early, I mean get there just before (up to 30 mins) opening. by the time you have parked, got to the entrance, given them your tics, the gates are usually open, even if the rides aren%26#39;t. You walk up the main drag to the ropes (shopping or grabbing a snack/drink on the way) and are ready to jump on the most pop rides the min of offcial opening. If you want to do night stuff like parades/fireworks, go back to your hotel/villa for the afternoon and return. You%26#39;ll have pretty much covered everything you want to do this way by 12noon-2pm depending on the park/season. and when you leave the parks at 2-3pm, you see all those just coming in. And the lines/waits are horrendous.

I agree with the previous post.Where you head once you get in depends on who you are with.If you have young kids, rush to Fantasy Land in M.K.,you will save so much time.We did this in Sept. and did the whole area in an hour .When are you going and how many and what ages are in your party? Also, resist the urge to linger on Main Street when you arrive. If you take an afternoon break,go into the shops on your way out,or stay in the park after the fireworks and shop then.

The popular wisdom works-go early, take a midday break and return late in the day. Disney does not take your fingerprints, they scan one finger so that only you can use the pass.going later in the day tneds to make people rush arounda lot;also Fast Passes for some attractions run out during the day and then you are stuck waiting in line
