Space shuttle launch

See a problem with the fuel sensors has delayed the space shuttle launch until Saturday. Any idea what time.?

We arrive MCO at 15.50 on Saturday.

Last year saw the shuttle in the air from our balcony at Cypres Pointe about 8 pm.Must be amazing to be on the east coast.

Space shuttle launch

it is scheduled for 3:43 pm...

Yes, it is fantastic to see that close... amazing!

Space shuttle launch

It is simply amazing to see a launch from up close. We were living in Titusville in the early months of the shuttle program, and took a boat right to the edge of the 2-mile limit....you can feel the mighty rumbling in your chest far more than you can actually hear it.

The NASA website, www.nasa.gov, will have all the latest info. Hope you get lucky and can see it. That is on my list of things to do.

Out here, if the shuttle is diverted to land in California, we get the double sonic boom as it passes over, but I%26#39;d much rather see the launch! ::-) (sorry, wanted to be an astronaut as a kid).

dublin, if your flight is on time, you%26#39;ll be just on the landing approach when the shuttle takes off. Be sure to get a window seat. Sorry don%26#39;t know which side. LOL.

Even clear over here on the left side of the state, we can step outside and see the trails of smoke as the shuttle takes off -- night launches are spectacular, as we can even see the light of the rockets as she slips the surly bonds of earth.

I never get tired of seeing it.

And yes, we get the double sonic booms here, too -- the flight path is usually directly enough overhead that it%26#39;s enough to rattle pictures on the wall.

dublin4,

The launch has been postponed to Sunday, but then you must be on your way to the airport already.
