I am going to be in SB 11/9-11/11. We are 2 couples in our 40%26#39;s- 50%26#39;s. Can anyone recommend a nice hotel on the beach in the $200-$300 per night range?
Also nightlife (music and dancing) for our age group.
Thanks,
Allison
Good Hotel in SBYour budget for this time of year, still not high season, would
suggest moderate unless specials come up at the last minute.
Moderate , nice, on the beach, or across the street might
be Surfcomer, Royal Palm, Strand, Savoy, or Avalon to
name a few. If you are there five days or more renting
at the Bentley Beach through an owner will move you
into the category of luxury.
Good Hotel in SBThank you!
I will check them out...anyone of them a favorite?
Any ideas on Nightlife?
They all have different special points, For example, the
Surfcomer has the largest pool in it%26#39;s price range while
the Savoy has the most attractive although the Royal Palm%26#39;s
is quite lush. The balconies at the Royal Palm even on partial
ocean view are great as long as the room is renovated. The
pool view junior suites(210 and 310) at the Savoy have three balconies two of which are ocean front and one is pool view
and that ain%26#39;t bad either. The Strand has a great rooftop
pool that I haven%26#39;t experienced since Cannes or Nice. The
Strand has rooms, even junior suites, with great balconies
and spa like bathrooms. I haven%26#39;t inspected the Avalon
in detail but it has a nice location as they all do. These
hotels tend not to get twenty year olds who party all
night long which shouldn%26#39;t be a problem anyway during
your dates of travel. As for night life there are local experts
on this sight who can give you the best ideas, but at least
drinks at one of the swankier bars such as Delano, Raleigh,
or National. You will have to be specific about what you mean
by';night life';. Hope this helps you some.
Thank you so much....extremely helpful!!!
I was looking for drinks and dancing (but not with 20 year olds)

You can check out www.salsamia.com to see about a quick salsa lesson that turns into a dance party weekends on Lincoln Road. Once you have the skills - hit Mango%26#39;s on Ocean - an over-the-top dance party all night long. Watch this!
