disney vero beach

Hi .... thinking of trying disney vero beach for 5 days / 4nights - then on to Saratoga springs for 14 nights - (i thought we would do it other way but partner wants to do beach 1st incase he didnt like it then at least he has SSR to look forward to rather than spoiling the end of the holiday - not sure what he thinks he wont like??) However - we are DVC members and i just wondering if we still need to pay to hire loungers etc on the beach - how much approx and any idea what the jet ski hire charges are?? Would you do the beach the other way around - also i have read about the no-sse-ums will they be bad sept/ oct - whats best to keep them at bay??

Vero Beach is about two hours southeast of Orlando, which might explain why no one here has any input here. Did you see these reviews on the Vero Beach Forum which might help?

It is not a very busy forum ,but perhaps if you posted there you%26#39;d get some answers- or you could try sending a private message to someone who has recently posted a review there.( click on their name)

Hi

We did it that way round this year. One week in Vero Beach then two weeks in Saratoga Springs. Might do it the other way round next year.

Really liked Vero Beach, nice quiet resort and the staff are very friendly and efficient. The beach was lovely and is home to loads of turtles. The no-see-ums are a pest, see the Vero Beach forum as I posted a question on how to avoid them. Avon%26#39;s Skin So Soft seems the best bet.

There is a charge for loungers and windbreakers, think it%26#39;s a few Dollars per day. Never tried the jet-skis but you could ask that on the Vero Beach forum.

5-7 nights is probably enough in Vero Beach, we had a car and drove up and down the coast to Melbourne and Sebastian and hit the malls.
