please help.

There are a lot of condos in Orlando available for rent right now that are excess inventory in the RCI timeshare organization, and you don%26#39;t have to be a member of RCI to rent them. Since you%26#39;re out of the United States, I%26#39;m not sure how you would go about it. Perhaps you have family members here that could help.

RCI rents units through a number of different organizations, and many are free to join, such as Government Employee Travel Opportunities (getravelop.com). I did a search there and there are a lot of condos available (some that sleep as many as 8). All of them are $329 for the week, and they are nice places with kitchens and many will have a washer and dryer. The Armed Forces Vacation Club (afvclub.com) is another one, and it will have the same inventory. Same goes for University Alumni Travel Benefits (alumnitravelbenefits.com). I believe there may be a few more, but I can%26#39;t recall them at the moment. You%26#39;ll have to check the ';Am I Eligible'; link when you get to the sites to see how you can go about renting a unit or two.

Let me know if you have any questions, and please let us know if you are able to find something. Good luck to you! :)

please help.

I know you have probably already spent a hell of a lot of money on this holiday, but the reality now is that you probably wont get that money in time to re-book an alternative.

I presume you have fully paid for the villa, did you do so on a credit card? You may (big MAY) be able to contact them or possibly your travel insurance provider (you do have insurance?) and see if they can assist on your behalf, but as the company is in liquidation the reality is you may not get your money back.

If you are adamant you are going to go, you need to be looking at booking again with a reputable firm or tour operator. Both BA %26amp; Virgin holidays will rent villas on their own without flight packages.

Good Luck

Dont know if this will help ,but somw years ago we had probs with a villa company and we were advised to contact the local Sheriffs dept which we did via the internet and they were very good. There is also Orlandos better business bureau also on line .It probaly wont be able to do anything in 2 weeks but they do take cases up .Atip for future ref you can check via there web site to see if your company has any problems.TO YOUR MMEDIATE problem try contacting local villa management offices via the web to see if any are helping bail people like yourselve out of your problem.

hope this helps good luck ,

Sorry to hear about the bad news, but at least it%26#39;s just the villa that%26#39;s gone, not the flights and everything else.

First off, I would contact BDO Stoy Hayward Manchester who are the appointed liquidators. Their number is 0161 817 7522. They will advise you where you stand.

Next, I would check with your credit card company or travel insurance as previously advised.

Once I had answers from these, I would look at booking another villa. Luckily, there are thousands in Florida that are struggling to get booked as the market is overcooked. This may be why Absolutely or All Star went down the tubes.

I have never used any of these companies but Virgin Holidays and First Choice have Florida villa options or www.orlandovillas.com which are well established.

Don%26#39;t panic, you%26#39;ll be able to find something in time. Go ahead and enjoy it!

Best of luck!

many thanks to all of you for your replies.I will try to stop crying long enough to try and sort something out.The flights and wedding package are all paid for(as was the villa) We will be going regardless .Just cant afford to lose all what we have paid for.I will keep you updated on how we get on.Just feeling very down at the moment as we have had weeks of bad luck, and this seems to be the straw that broke the camels back!!Thanks again.

Chin up......you will get through it.

We have used an English fella who is based in Orlando for our previous villa rentals.

His name is John Eden, and has a website

www.florida-now.com

Might be worth a call, he usually did us last minute deals and very trustworthy (regulated by the authorities in Florida)

Good Luck to you!

corrine. Somewher in Florida ther is a villa with your name on it. Trust what other posters have said, there is alot of experience on this forum, you and your family will be fine.

Best of look for the wedding, Go go and have a great time.

My husband%26#39;s boss and family are booked with this company. Supposed to fly out next Sat, Will have to wait till Monday to find out what%26#39;s happening. She was only telling me last weekend what a good deal she got for the 4 of them flying out of Glasgow. This family booked everything even the disney tickets with this company.

I have been pricing villas with these%26#39;cheaper%26#39; companies over the weekend, I think i%26#39;ll give them a wide berth from now on.

Hope you manage to salvage something Corrine and go on to have a wonderful day. Angie

Bloody hell!

So sorry to hear of your problems Corrine. I%26#39;m afraid I can%26#39;t offer much more than the good advice already given.

I%26#39;ve had a quick Google of the name and it%26#39;s also come up with this:-

forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html鈥?/a>

Not sure how much help it could be to you, but it looks worth a read for some advice maybe. There%26#39;s also a thread on the HolidayWatchdog.com forum.

Best of luck. Really hope you get things sorted. Let us know how you got on.

So sorry to hear of this misfortune. It happened to us once when a rental agency on Sanibel Island, FL went bankrupt. Fortunately, it was just our $250 deposit that was lost.

After this disappointment, you deserve (and will find) a nice substitute place to stay. I would encourage you to check out:

www.vrbo.com Follow the links (USA %26gt;Florida%26gt;Orlando) and look at all the wonderful listings for 3 BR units at the new Vista Cay available directly from owners. They are a very upscale, new place and I don%26#39;t think you would be disappointed. Many owners are offering very attractive rates because the place is not yet well known.

Good Luck...try to put this ';glitch'; aside for now and enjoy this very special family event!
