1 night in Key West

Hello

We have never been to the key %26#39;s and will be spending one night in January 2008.

Suggestions where to stay? Location is important to see as much as possible in one day. Clean with a heated pool (not necessary)

not expensive. Breakfest included if possible.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks

Can you give us a little more info? What is your budget? Do you like B%26amp;Bs or chain type places? Do you need a place with parking? What day in Jan are you looking at? How many rooms do you need? Beds?

1 night in Key West

Hello again:

For starters Chain is OK or B%26amp;B. Saturday January 26. Price range around 150.00 or less.My husband and myself. I think I would like a chain, but not sure. Mostly interested in a good location and yes with parking. Would like to walk to see the area if possible, but we will have a rent a care.

Thanks again

Well I do not think you will find a B%26amp;B that will rent you one night on a weekend. They usually have a 2 night min. Try here. It gets nice reviews and is a great value.

Hi Arnie

This looks good. What do you think of the location?

Eileen, Arnie is right, that is one of the best values, and most popular motels, in KW. The location is a few blocks from what most would consider ';the action'; i.e. Mallory Square sunset celebration, the Bight, Sloppy Joe%26#39;s (NOT the center of the universe but many first timers stop here....stop and keep going :)

You could certainly stay closer to the North end of Duval, but not sure you will find something for $150 or less. IMO You will get to see more of KW in one day by staying further from the North end :)

OH, and you will have a car I see. The BWH has a lot, where most places, especially more north, have NO parking at all. It is a cr*pshoot on the streets. Sounds like just what you are looking for :)

Suggestions for further North?

I%26#39;am sure we can spend a little more for a better location.

More North is mostly B %26amp; B%26#39;s, and some chains on the water (Hyatt, Westin etc). The chains will be considerably more than $150 a night in January.

There are lots of B %26amp; B%26#39;s people here will suggest, just remember you might have an issue with parking. Since it is one night, really no big deal, but find a spot and leave it. And the one night thing might be a problem.

You could try Angelina Guesthouse, very populare here, and they might be the one place where you could get 1 night. Key West Harbor Inn is also very popular, all the way at the North end.

There really are so many. I would take a few minutes and go through the B %26amp; B reviews on here. They are great, detailed, and most have lots of candid traveler photos.

I like the location of the BW. Kris is right though. The bigger chains will be considerably more. Look through this site and see what looks good to you. Before you get your heart set on something, call them directly and check on the rate and if they will only do one night. It might limit your choices.

Thanks so much for your help.

I guess as I start my search I only need to know shoul I be looking in the North end or the South ? It looks like we my be able to find a room for around $200.00 a night for the one night... North or South?

or where he action is. The BWH is looking good. Rooms 200.00 a night.

Thanks for your help.
