Weather in early November

Hi there, my family and I, consisting of 2 adults and 11 and 9 yr old girls will be travelling to Orlando Florida on 27th October next. We have not been before and were wondering what the weather will be like. Is it warm enough for shorts and t-shirts, will we need to bring jumpers for the evening time? We live in Ireland and it is normally freezing that time of year.

Also, which parks would you recommend for us, we are getting mixed reports about both the Disney Parks and the Universal Parks. We only have two weeks so dont want to miss out on the best rides and attractions.

Weather in early November

HI Kate07Ireland.

We go 1st Nov this year. Ihave been told by other TA members that Florida in Nov is daytime warm in 80%26#39;s but can get abit cooler, night time cool but still nice. Possible jumper if walking around. The parks close earlier but que%26#39;s normally shorter on most rides.

Which parks ??? Depending on your likes and dislikes, your daughters will love MK and Sea World as mum %26amp; dad will.

If you all like thrill rides you need to be in.

1. MGM Tower of Terror - Rock ';n'; Roller Coaster

2. Islands of Adventure. The Incredibal Hulk - Dueling Dragons .

3. Universal The Mummy - Terminator - Jaws (you get wet) abit??.

4. Busch Gardens Kumba - Shiekra - Montu - Gwazi

More Relaxing DAYS

1. Sea World kracken ( it%26#39;s wild )

2. Epcot Test Track - Soarin -

3. Animal Kingdom Everest - Train ride

Where ever you have fun, it%26#39;s a fantastic place .The people are great and the food well, just hope your hungry.!!!!

Safe journey you never know we might even see you out there.

Weather in early November

As the last post stated weather in November is good ,as to which park to do when we first went in 1969 we said we had better do it all as we may nether get the chance to do it again .were now aranging our 67 holiday to Florida lol ,so theres the dilema do you do it all in case you dont come back ,or do you sve some for the next trip. Good luk as its worse than cocaine you just cant break the habitt I was 23 when I first went Ill be 61 on my next .

It%26#39;s still really warm into November down here. Heck! I was wearing shorts and a tee shirt last Thanksgiving!

Be sure to bring at least a light jacket or sweater as it does cool off at night and a least a pair of jeans or slacks.

No matter what park you go to, plan on needing to bring a backpack with jackets. And don%26#39;t be intimidated by park security bag-checks. The lines go through very quickly if you already have it unzipped and ready to check.

9 and 11 year olds would enjoy literally EVERYTHING in Orlando. No worries there. Definitely take them to Disney World (Magic Kingdom) every kid needs to experience that. You will not be disappointed. If you go to Mickey and Minnie%26#39;s houses in Fantasyland, you get to meet them at the end and there are characters all over the park. The parades are the best. I think the best viewing spot is in front of the Hall of Presidents.

Also, if your girls like the princesses, they%26#39;ve been doing a princess show in front of the castle at I want to say 10am and 3 pm. Also, around one side of the castle Belle has a story time and you can meet the Little Mermaid behind the Dumbo ride.

I personally like Epcot. I think a 9 and 11 year old would appreciate a lot of the rides there and the night show at the World Showcase is neat. I like Epcot the most because of the World Showcase. You get to travel to different countries. AND when your trip is, it%26#39;s the Food and Wine festival and the different countries will have food and drink samples (for a small fee). However, if your family travels around the world a lot, it may not be as big a deal.

I%26#39;ve never been to MGM or Animal Kingdom but I%26#39;ve heard you can do each of those in a half-day.

I haven%26#39;t been to Universal in probably 10 years but I%26#39;ve heard they%26#39;ve made it a ton more exciting with the Islands of Adventure rollercoasters.

There%26#39;s also Sea World if the kids like ocean animals. I haven%26#39;t been there since I was probably your kids%26#39; ages so I don%26#39;t have much to say about it. I think they might even have a couple rollercoasters over there now.

There%26#39;s also Downtown Disney which has some restaurants and shops if you need someplace to pick up souveniers.

Thank for all your replys, they were a great help.

Only 4 and a half weeks to go, I dont know who is worse me or the kids. lol

Just under 4 weeks to go for us. I%26#39;ve so much to do before I go that I haven%26#39;t time to get excited yet.

Hi there in Waterford, did you get your theme park tickets yet? I am still looking on the net and am still baffled. Did you get a good price?

weather good for the time of year recommend the horror night at universal we went in october 3 years ago and going again on the 21st october our daughter is 16 so we wont be going to the magic kingdom again we enjoyed it but she has out grown it now going to busch gardens instead. do go to animal kingdom and mgm was good typhoon lagoon ok but blizard looks better, out of all the parks we enjoyed universal best but they are all enjoyable even epcot which my daughter hated by the way. have a great holiday and a cardi or sweatshirt was needed some nights .

Thanks for that. Will tell all [good and bad] when we get back.

We hear Typhoon Lagoon will be closed for maintenance but Blizzard Beach should be open, hope so as we all love the water parks anywhere we go. Anyone else hear this?

I%26#39;ve just booked Universal Studios and Island of Adventure tonight after reading another post here recommending the following

www.universalorlando.com/promo_unlimited.html

I%26#39;m going to book Disney on www.undercovertourist.com

I%26#39;ve already booked Discovery Cove.

I must try and do some clothes shopping for summer clothes even though the winter stuff is in the shops at the moment
