Wondering if you can only watch at Typhoon Lagoon or do you have to pay full entrance price...also do many people spend the time to take the monorail and go see some of the other disney hotels??and also go around the parks..we were thinking of doing that on our first night since we arrive at 5:00 or does the monorail close when parks are closed..or do they just circle around if they are closed??

If you enter Typhoon Lagoon at all, you must pay full price. There%26#39;s no ';just watching'; available there.
I always visit Disney resorts on each trip, but the monorail will only take you to the Poly, the Contemp, and the Floridian. Other resorts can be visited by bus or boat by Disney transport, or by your own private vehicle if you have one.
The monorails are open before the parks and stay opens for a long time after the parks close (about 1.5 or 2 hours I believe). They do stop at the parks, but of course if the park has closed, it won%26#39;t do you much good to get off there.
