First Timers to Caribbean Beach Resort!!

Hi Everybody

Taking two kids one aged 13 and one 6 to Caribbean Breach Resort in Walt Disney World on January 3rd 2008.

Have been reading as much as i can about everything and its all got a bit of a blur!!

Few things I would like to know:

Weather in January?

It does say there is a fridge in your room but is this larger enough to keep much in and are you able to eat a light lunch or anything in your room?

Do you have to pay to rent boats and bikes in resort?

Is it worth getting this refill cup I keep reading about?

How far away fro Internationa Drive am I?

Best shops gor Gucci, Juicy coulture etc for 13 year old daughter

Any help with these questions would be greatly appreciated

First Timers to Caribbean Beach Resort!!

Hi

Firstly weather in Jan can still be pleasant shorts and tshirt weather in the day with Highs of say 22 degrees however evening temps can drop to 10 degrees so would would need trousers and a jumper for the evenings!

It doesnt rain too much in Jan there is probably an average of 7-8 rainy days in the month I guess!

At the Carribbean Beach you do have to pay to rent any of the boats or bikes in resort these can be rented from a minimum of 15mins I believe.

The refill cup is good for the kids it allows you to have free refills from anywhere within your hotel resort for the duration of your stay so if you there two weeks it soon pays for itself! I guess its a personal opinion it depends if you want your kids to keep having fizzy drinks and such.

If your hiring a car your looking at an easy 20-25 min drive to I Drive or Up to Universal! If you not hiring a car Mears do a shuttle transfer which normally works out cheaper than a taxi.

Mears provide you with a number just call them when you want to go back to your hotel and they will advise you of when the next available shuttle will be.

Unfortunately Im not a shopper so cant help you on those questions ;-)

You are in for a treat, we stayed at the CBR in August and it is a fantastic place.

The fridge is small, but big enough to keep bottles/ cans in, you can take food back to your room, but if you want to store it in the fridge, it might be a squeeze.

Yes you have to pay for boats and cycles in the resort, sorry don%26#39;t know the prices as we didn%26#39;t use them

Yes, get the refill cup, it costs $12 and pays for itself in no time

If you are driving to I drive, you can be there in 15-20 mins

Mall at Millenia for Gucci, don%26#39;t know about Juicy.
