Daytona 500 seating

I have never been to the track. I would like to buy tickets for the 2008 race, but have no idea which seats are worth buying. I%26#39;d like to keep the tickets under $200.

Daytona 500 seating

Truly depends on what you are willing to spend... but since @$200 is what you%26#39;ve stated here goes. The BEST seats are in the Nextel (soon to be Sprint i%26#39;m sure) Tower... face value on these were more that $200 last year. Petty and Earnhardt Towers ';bookend'; the Nextel Tower and are very good seats also. Not sure, but @$200 sounds right for the face value on these. From there the $$$ value, and quality of seating, go down. Campbell is right at the start/finish line with great views of pit road, but with the way they%26#39;ve built up DIS%26#39;s infield, you really see nothing on the back stretch. Remember, especially @Daytona, the higher the row #, the better the seat. Also, the reason I said these tickets have a ';face value'; is because it is ';illegal'; in Daytona to sell them for more than that. Enforcement of that law is the problem... seldom happens. If you plan on being in town from, say, thur.-sun. you are better off buying them as a package including the Twin 150%26#39;s, Truck, and Busch races. If you only want them for Sunday%26#39;s race, you are likely to pay a premium. Personally, i%26#39;m counting down the days %26#39;til the 50th Great American Race!!!! Hope this helps... Shake.

I prefer the Superstretch.

The most wrecks happen coming out of Turn 2. Not that I go for the wrecks... *wink*

I think the tix for the 50th anniversary are going to be waaaaaay more expensive no matter what part of the track you%26#39;re sitting.

Superstretch tix are running $100 for the 500.

Try to get a package deal on the DIS website. You may be able to get a seat plus fan zone cheaper than purchasing seperately or get a free tee shirt or hat out of the deal.

Economically speaking gwennie is right, the backstretch is the most affordable option and is a pretty good deal for the two-day package they sell through the speedway ticket office. Two heads-up on it though, the shuttle system they use before/after the race is extremely inefficient, and your overall view of the track from back there will have you watchung the video screens about 1/3 of the time. Just think if you are gonna ';splurge'; on an event this big maybe once in your life, $50-$100 more for a better seat isn%26#39;t really that much. Whatever you decide, good luck... i%26#39;m counting down the days!!! Shake...
