BAA to ballot for strike action.

I listened to the union Rep on the radio today.

He say%26#39;s unless BAA withdraw there pension changes completely he believes the action will definately go ahead. He was looking for no compromise just total withdrawl by BAA.

He says the 7 day notice period to BAA will happen by the 27th December, and action will happen then.

The Union is responsible for all the firefighters at all the BAA airports and action will mean they will close and shut down completely.

When he was questioned about the timing happening over the holiday period he just said they needed it to happen when it would be the greatest inconvenience to BAA.

Unfortunately the impression from him was it will happen.

All we can do Hope upon hope.

I dont seem to see many people kicking off about BAA going on strike ruining thousands of peoples holidays over the Christmas period, But if an actual airline say for instance Virgin goes on strike theres utter uproar.

So we should know whats going to happen on the 27th December.

find it amazing anyone can give baa solace when they are robbing people of there pension entitlement.all power to the people they could be fighting for our childrens future.

This does mean that if the Virgin strike does happen, it won%26#39;t be until January, bad news for some I know, but at least disruption over the Xmas period is now off for VA
