We (4 of us) are going to be renting a car from 19 Dec - 16 Jan. Gonna drive around Boca/Orlando/KSC.

Any recommendations? Websites?

Alamo usually has the best rates pl;us you can check in online and just get your car from the garage and leave

Ive googled loads of sites for 3 weeks car hire and have found Alamo are the cheapest so far .

All the third party car hire companys i checked out were more expensive when booking from the UK.

There are codes that are given out for different bargains but again Ive found mst of them are only available to US residents.

Strangly off airport doesnt seem any cheeper that picking up at MCO which used to be the case.

Anyway Blondie- what is aussie car insurance like? Do they insure the car, with it%26#39;s divers, or the Driverlike US policies? If it%26#39;s like the US, try expedia, or even priceline.

If your insurance is like the UK%26#39;s, use the dollar.co.uk site, or even better travelsupermarket.com. You%26#39;ll want a UK car site to make sure all insurance is included at a good price. the USsites assume you have some of the insurances included with your own policy or CC so won%26#39;t be as cheap when you add it all up.

we (as in me %26amp; hubby) don%26#39;t normally rent cars as we have 2 of our own - so we drive ot our destination wherever in South Africa

Where do you plan to pick up the car? I posted earlier on Thrift deals for minivans but they also have great rate on regular cars.

Also it my be useful to sign up to receive e-mail from thrifty and dollar. They sometime have internet specials. That how I got the minivan deal with Thrifty. Saved me $300.
