I have a few questions about RC Naples hope somebody can help.
we dont have valet parking anywhere in Denmark, so I dont have a clue on how much to tip them?
And do you tip at the end of your stay or everytime you pick up or return your car?
Is there a resort fee at the RC Naples?
How much is the breakfast?
is the beach safe for children to swim at?
Best regards Love2Travel2
A few questions about Ritz Carlton Naples
I think most people tip when they pick up their car. Usually $2-5 at a place like the Ritz.
Don%26#39;t know about the resort fee but I%26#39;d guess yes. Look on the website or under ';rate rules'; when booking your room.
Don%26#39;t know about the breakfast
Yes, the beach is very safe for children. Usually no waves of any sort. In the summer you must be on the look out for stingrays in the shallow water near the shore.
A few questions about Ritz Carlton Naples
Thanks finewinelover
Are the stingrays dangerous? I was under the imprssion that they really had to be teased ( Steve Irwin Style) to do anything
We have snorkeled with them in Sharm in Egypt, but maybe this was another species.
PS: I know this probaly is a silly question, but do we alsp tip when we return out car?
Dont want to seem cheap, I know that we european often look like we are, but we are just not used to tip. (the minimum vages in Denmark is around 20$ an hour, so the gratuity is kind of included already)
When renting a car tipping is not necessary. However, if someone is transporting you to the rental area, like a shuttle driver, I usually give them a couple of dollars.
As for the sting rays, if you leave them alone, they%26#39;ll leave you alone.
Enjoy Naples!
The main danger with the stingrays is accidently stepping on them as they sometimes move under the sand and are hard to see. You%26#39;ll see people doing the ';stingray shuffle'; as they walk in the shallow water to avoid stepping directly on top of them. If you do and are stung, it can be very, very painful and usually requires a trip to the hospital. Don%26#39;t worry, it%26#39;s not that big of a problem, just something to be aware of in the summer months.
As for the tipping, sometimes I give a valet parking attendant a couple of dollars when I drop my car off, but usually it%26#39;s just when they bring the car back up to you. At the Ritz, I%26#39;d imagine the attendants get tips both at drop off and pick up. Other places, like restaurants and such, they probably only get their tips when customers receive their cars back to them. Just a note, some places charge a set fee for valet parking. Waterside Shops near the Ritz is one such place. In that case, I pay the fee and then give a small tip at pick up.
I forgot to mention that the Ritz Carlton Beach Resort and the Golf Resort both offer spectacular Sunday brunches. They are expensive, I think $75 at the Beach and maybe around $50 at the Golf resort, but are really extensive and fabulous for a splurge. You could probably email the conceirge at either resort to ask what the costs are.
Great thanks for all the advise - I cant wait to go :)
