trip review 9/14-9/19

First of all we had a great time,, stayed at Regency Towers, have stayed there before, its not the newest or fanciest resort by far. We rent from local owners who check out the unit after most every rental and give us a great price and it is a really extra clean and trouble free condo. We have looked at other places and would like to stay at a few (sterling beach, treasure island, etc), but have stayed at RT for the past 4 visits. Check in consist of pulling up to the gate (24 gate guard another plus) and asking for our keys and getting a parking pass. The owners call us later that day or the next and come and pick up the rent. It is hard to beat. On to other things.

The ocean and weather was wonderful. We have came the past 2 Sept. during this time and they have both been super. High 80%26#39;s and 90 and the ocean was as warm as it was when we were there in June. It was also extremely clear, you could be in water chest high and still see your feet. No seaweed, very few bigger waves, just an almost flat clear ocean.

Food wise it was good also. No waits anywhere. We have always been big Angelo%26#39;s fans, although in June the service and food was not up to par. No problems this time. The sevice was more than attentive and the steaks and more may have been the best ever. (so my wife says). We tried Scampys, something we always say we are going to do, but havent yet. Its really small compared to most places, but really good. Not sure I would wait in line to eat there, but I would go back. Nothing fancy, no frills ,just good service and food. Last big mention goes to the Boatyard. Went there twice. The people on this site have that one pegged. Crab dip appetizer, BLT, crab cakes, shrimp, chicken and more were all about the best we have had. Super service ,great atmosphere. Only one word, go. If you havent been go try it out. Rest of food was in room, leftovers, on the go or whater,, it was all good,, Isnt it all?

On the way out,, does no one ever consider that someone might be coming off the elevator when the door opens? Just barge on in,, I dont want to get off,, you have to laugh ,, it%26#39;s vacation,, have a good one all!
