Just got back from PCB....Here's what I thought

Just got back yesterday from PCB, I have been going there for about 25 years now. We stayed at the Summit as usual. It aint the Ritz, but I have stayed there for most of the 25 years. My parents probably should have bought one, been paid for by now. But anyway here is what I seen and done. Is a long one

The Summit - Its is spacious a little old, but it is perfect for us, it is a place to sleep, the grounds are nice and the Pools are kept very well. There is everything you need. The Tiki Bar is cool, Bikini Bobs is a great place. We rent from a private owner, so not sure how the staff is. It is right on the ocean all the rooms ocean front balconies.

The Water- I have never seen the water or the beach so clear. We seen alot of marine life, several large crabs. Every morning there were dolphins jumping and swimming of the second sandbar. At night there were schools of what looked like small sting-rays (not sure their exact name) swimming right at the beach and literally leaping out of the water.

Pontoon Boat- We rented a pontoon boat to ride out to shell island, we rented from AAdventures, right across Thomas Dr. from Capt. Anderson%26#39;s. We rented for a half-day, which was more than enough. If you have about 8-10 people, is the best way to see shell island and tour the bay, for dolphins. We have done the big boat tours and this is better it seems. The guys we rented from were really nice and helpful.

Restaurants- We ate out alot so here we go. and everthing is expensive.

Schooners- We ate during Lobsterfest, big fun, the food was great, great atmoshphere, but when you go expect to bring a big purse, this is the most expensive place we ate. The grouper is good as well as the shrimp.

Treasure ship- The service was absolutely terrible, we did have large party but it took us over 1 1/2 hours to get done eating. The food was good, but the service negated it. The hostesses were kinda rude and indifferent, the waiter was absolutely terrible. I had crab legs, you got a big portion, but a little dry. We have been going here for about five years. It has been slowly going down alittle since the first time.

Boatyard- We ate lunch here and it was great, the shimp are huge, great atmosphere, our waitress was great. I wish we had went there for dinner to see the menu. The Burger. good, Buffalo Shrimp good. They have the cheesecake things that are good, and a chocalate dipped Key Lime Pie, all good. it ain%26#39;t cheap, but really good.

Capt. Andersons- We had to wait over an hour, which you have to expect. The service was excellent, all the hostesses bartenders and waitress, are very professional and fun. The food is good, the shrimp were good (not the best I had, but good), the Red Snapper is excellent, but very pricey.

Hammerhead Fred%26#39;s- Good place, good service, the food was good, I had the oyster%26#39;s which were good. They have these little new potatoes that are very good. Like everthing else, it aint cheap.

The Boon Docks- It is worth the drive to West Bay, We have went there for about 5 years now, and have not been disappointed yet. The service is good, it is laid back, great seafood and homecooking. Fried Pickles, hushpuppies, corn-nuggets all good. I had to Grouper Poboy which is now my new favorite. The shrimp Poboy is good too, and the shrimp gumbo is good. It aint exactly cheap either, but might be alittle less than the others.

Souviniers (can%26#39;t spell)

Alvin%26#39;s Island mall- (the one with the gators)- some good stuff, but ALL of the people that work there are rude and unhelpful, will not ever buy anything else in there.

Stan%26#39;s Airbrush- (right beside Ms. Newby%26#39;s) great little place, we had a tag done about nine years ago and had anotherone done. Small place that is run by a wife and husband, very nice and do a great job on tags and airbrush..

Sorry so long but we were there eight days

Just got back from PCB....Here's what I thought
