Restaurants and Airboat tours near LaPlaya

My husband and I are staying at La Playa Beach Resort in early December. What restaurants would be within waling distance for breakfast and dinner or a short drive away?

Also where would be the closest airboat rides through the Everglades?

Hi, Linda,

There are loads of restaurants within walking distance to LaPlaya. Please take a look at a similar thread %26lt;http://tinyurl.com/2gmgpd%26gt;. Here%26#39;s a link to another post with breakfast recommendations %26lt;http://tinyurl.com/2p355m%26gt;.

In addition to those places mentioned, The Tropical Reef is a terrific seafood restaurant about 2.5 miles from LaPlaya. They use fresh, local ingredients to create innovative, Florida-style dishes. Don%26#39;t miss it! There are lots of great restaurants within, say, 15-20 minutes of LaPlaya. Let us know what you like to eat, and we can give you more suggestions.

Linda,

La Playa is amazing you will love it. It is in a great location but not a lot of places with in walking distance. You will be able to walk to the Turtle Club, probably a quarter mile or less south of your resort. The Ritz Carlton is located just south of you on the south side of Vanderbuilt road. They have a amazing breakfast there! The only other walking place might be DA RU MA Japanese steak house on Vanderbuilt.

Other than that you probably have to drive, but not to far. Go to MenuVenueSWFL.com and type in the zip code 34108 which is where La Playa is at. You will get a listing of all the great restaurants that are in that area. Some notables might be Flemings Steak house and DARUMA Japanese. I would also suggest going to downtown Naples and strolling down 5th Ave and 3rd St South. Those areas are the heart of Naples. The best shopping and dining. You will love it!!!

As far as everglad airboat tours you will need to take US41 south past Naples and past Marco Island. Then you will see plenty of signs for everglade tours. It will probably be about an hour drive but well worth it. You will see ton%26#39;s of gators and other wild life.

Hope I%26#39;ve helped!

Cheers
