A couple of us have gotten permission from the wives to have a '; Guys Only'; weekend. We are going to the Miami Dolphins game vs. New England and have decided Ft. Lauderdale is the best place to stay. Any suggestions on hotels that are near the beach and nightlife?
Guys Weekend in Ft Lauderdale
There is decent nightlife along the beach, but more in downtown%26#39;s Himmarshee area, which is a short cab ride away. Marriott%26#39;s Beach Place is right on top of a few nightclubs and across from the sand; or you could go a little more upscale and stay at the Riverside Hotel to be near the downtown nightlife. A third option would be the Hard Rock Casino Hotel, but that is about a 15-minute drive to the beach.
Guys Weekend in Ft Lauderdale
The GalleryOne Doubletree on Sunrise is right next to the Galleria for good food and easy walking distance to the beach. It%26#39;s an all-suite hotel so you have a kitchen, living room, dining room table, two tv%26#39;s, etc. which allows you to spead out a little more with a couple of guys staying in the same room. They%26#39;ve also got several two bedroom suites which is great for four or five people because you can all stay in the same room. I%26#39;ve found the rates to be more than reasonable when I%26#39;m travelling on business.
