First timer..orlando to new york!

Hi all,my partner and I are planning our holidays for next year..hoping to travel August/September.We%26#39;ll be flying from the UK and hope to spend approx 2weeks in Orlando maybe fitting in a few days at Tampa(for Busch gardens and beach time!) and then fly to New York for some shopping and then head back to the UK.This will be the first time we%26#39;ve planned a trip like this and would really appreciate any advise regarding:

...accomadation in Orlando..hotels,private villas/condos..must have a pool

...recommended airlines from the UK and also for internal flights from Orlando to New York

....Distance to Tampa from Orlando..what to see/do

....What area of Orlando to stay in(we will be renting a car)

Thanks you so much(no doubt I%26#39;ll have alot more questions).

Lots of questions.

Accomodation in Orlando - the choice is endless, from budget (quality inn, rodeway inn etc) through to Universal and Disney hotels, Marriott etc etc. No end of villas to rent. Suggest you decide on what you want (area and cost ) and then look at various web sites to choose exactly where.

Villas tend to be in Davenport / Kissimme area so near to Disney. Lots of hotels on Int`l Drive ( 25 mins to Disney, 15 mins to Universal) and Lake Buena Vista ( again nr Disney ). All the major chains have properties in these areas.

Airlines - a lot depends on availability as direct non stop flights get booked quickly. We`ve found BA and Virgin to be good. Plenty of Internal flights to New York e.g. Delta, American Airlines. Again, depends on what flight times you can get to coincide with flight home from New York.

Tampa - Busch Gardens worth a visit ( 1.5 hrs from Orlando). There are some lovely beaches in this area. Some resorts are built up e.g. St Petes, some are more relaxed and not built up e.g. Anna Maria Island.
